Make great arts affordable to young people

West Kowloon wants to ensure that as many students as possible can enjoy the thrill of live music, dance, theatre and xiqu performed at our state-of-the-art venues. Whether it’s their first theatrical experience or returned visits to our art park music events, we are committed to provide young people with an extraordinary and enriching experience.

Support Our Future

In 2019-2021, over 6,000 concessionary tickets were sold, while more than 6,800 secondary school students were introduced to Cantonese opera through the Tea House Theatre Student Matinees. We also hosted over 50 student workshops, covering a diverse range of art forms from jazz and theatre, to dance and Chinese traditional crafts.

Your generosity will enable us to provide half-priced tickets to students and develop youth programmes annually, making arts an important part of their lives.

The arts have the power to change lives and it is a way for us to tell our stories as a society. Long-term impact of involvement in the arts include a broader world view, increased confidence and empowerment, and we want to ensure that all students can enjoy these benefits.

Over 3,000 concessionary tickets were sold in 2019 – 2020 and we continue to ensure that full-time students in Hong Kong can have access to performing arts experiences. We also want to continue to provide curated student events and performances each year at our venues to cultivate young audiences.

Help us to inspire change through the arts by enriching the wellbeing of and igniting a creative passion in young people.
